And what demonstrable proof do you have access to to irrefutably prove the Trump administration covered up Chinese balloon overflights of the continental US and Hawaii?

None - The Pentagon is not the Trump administration.

“This information was discovered after the prior administration left. The intelligence community is prepared to offer key officials from the Trump administration briefings on [China’s] surveillance program,” (quote)

I would add that questioning the Government and any of it's officials or presidents (past or present) is one of the core values that makes America great. It is something that gets you jailed or worse somewhere like China. Being slavish to an individual politician is, I think un-American, these folks are there to SERVE US, not the other way around.

I say can anyone show me a picture from 2017 to 2020 of a spy balloon over the conus? If not it didn't happen no matter what's been written. And even then easily photoshopped. Trust NO ONE!

Notice that nowhere in this quote that you posted does it say that the "intelligence community " is prepared to brief Trump officials on the 3 balloon incursions into American airspace during his time as President. It says they would brief them on China's surveillance program.
Huge difference. These liars are parsing words and everyone should pay attention.
That is why when they were asked for the dates of these balloons during the Trump administration they refused to give them.

This was clearly before Biden, during Presidents Trumps period of office information was obviously being withheld.

Basic journalism: Who, what, when, where, why.  What basic FACTS are presented in your links that can be confirmed? Lots of allegations and innuendos ...

As has been said, there are so many sky-watchers in this country as to make some of these stories laughable.

And, if true, the allegations point out a glaring weakness (and corruption) in our society - the SWAMP has completely unjustified power.  Remember Jimmy Carter lamenting even after being ELECTED President he wasn't allowed to see the UFO files?

Some 70 years ago Truman fired McArthur because the military reported to an elected President.  When did it change?  Remember Eisenhower's warning as he left the Presidency?

What is really sad now is an Air Force 4 Star General of NORAD was made to throw himself under the bus and give up his integrity and honor for the Biden Regime and the Intelligence Community to cover their butts for this travesty of cowardice.  Just cover one big lie with another bigger lie to distract.

Absolutely Disgusting.  This 4 Star forgot who and what are his allegiances to that he took an oath to protect and defend, The Constitution and the Citizens of the United States of America.

The following is the oath all United States military commissioned officers take before they assume office:  I, state your name, having been appointed an officer in the United States Military, do solemnly swear that I will support and defend the constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that i will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, that I take this obligation freely without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, and I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter, so help me God.

There is no mention of the elected or appointed political leaders only the Constitution of the United States 🇺🇸 (people).  That is the difference between the US military and the militaries of the rest of the world. The NORAD commander chose to forget or ignore his duty.

Blah Blah Blah who really cares if Trump saw a balloon(s) or not, perhaps they were at a non visible altitude?  Who can trust what comes out of Washington "in the best interest of the nation" today or yesterday? The fact is we downed a balloon belonging to a foreign power who shouldn't have sent it over us. Why didn't Tony Blinken call Xi about lodging arrangements before his trip and say BTW do you know your balloon is over us?

If a neighbor inadvertently happens to let his dog stray away and poops on your patio do you take pictures and slaughter the pup? Ok so he intentionally allows the dog to poop on your patio, the best diplomacy is to at least bring the poop in a bag back to the neighbor and discuss his action before going to guns. Why don't we simply contact the Chinese ask them if they want their trash back and meet to share a cold Tsingtao!!!

China has come within a rice paper of declaring war on the USA. So how long does the White House believe a weak excuse and allow a trojan horse to run freely all over your country, eat your lunch and crap where it likes- hmmm let's see-  unless it's a decoy from a friend or a lifebouy.

What do you do if the neighbor trains his dog to poop on you lawn, and go through your personal items and carrying some of them off with him? And his dog may be carrying rabies or the plague, it may be perfectly healthy, you don't know.

Good neighbors do not train dogs to poop on your lawn, and take measures to put a stop it if they find out. Not come up with the most ridiculous cock-and-bull stories to try to excuse it when they get caught.

At least the Chinese Communist Party makes no real pretense that they are our enemies. What is so disturbing is that they can still find willing dupes/Lenin's "useful idiots" in the USA to carry their water for them, and pretend that this is just a minor neighborhood squabble.

Hitler told us exactly what he wanted to do, no one believed him, pretended every which way possible that he would never actually do it, even when he started. He wrote an entire book to document it!

Stalin and Kruschev told us what they were going to do, then did everything possible to carry it out, while people came up with excuse after excuse for them even as they did it. They were only stopped at enormous cost with some people here opposing it every inch of the way, even today making excuses for them.

Radical Islam told us what they were going to do, then proceeded to do it, while we all treated it like it was a minor misunderstanding or our own fault.

Vladimir Putin has been talking about restoring the USSR for years, and invaded and took over a country with hardly a peep of protest, and a few years later, did it again, and there are still people arguing against stopping it

Now, president Xi (who is now a dictator-for-life) is telling us exactly what they want to do, and is taking logical actions to achieve that goal. And we still have people trying to dismiss it or treating it as a minor dispute between good neighbors.

These people tell you who and what they are with *PLENTY* of warning.

Yeah, this has been played out through history so many times it isn't funny, but an embarrassing number of people just don't seem to remember, or never learned it. As we get further along in time where there are fewer and fewer people that have this awareness of what happened in history are left, and as the saying goes, those who forget or ignore history are condemned to repeat it. A lot is said about "The Greatest Generation" and far too many people of following generations take no belief in what they read. They got us to where we are and put down a good foundation. These people did the suffering necessary to establish what we all have been taking for granted  in later years. I pity the gen-Xers, Millennials, or what ever the hell they call younger generations these days, as there is going to be a price to be payed for all this nonsense, and it's those generations that are going to have to do the suffering and try to figure a way out of the mess, and they won't have a clue because they didn't pay attention and didn't listen.
And the beginning of the end might have just started with a simple balloon!

I'm not worried at all about the disaster in Turkey. Biten will no doubt send billions of dollars in aid, and 99.999% will go into the pockets of those in the government, just like normal. Maybe the Saudis will help them? I won't hold my breath waiting for that.  D>K Steve

What will thinking about a natural disaster in Turkey accomplish? Hypothetically we can do something about feckless leaders and people failing to learn from history.

Or are you finding are losing the argument that you started, and want to change the subject?

There is a major earth quake in that region about once every year or two. It's kind of a common occurrence in that part of the world. As heartless as it may sound, I think that Turkey and the surrounding countries should be prepared to deal with this, as it happens so frequently, and be more experienced at it than anyone in the US is. We really can't afford to send any aid anyway, unless they want to divert money that has been handed out to other undeserving agencies and countries. It's time to turn the money tap OFF!! We are over 30 TRILLION dollars in debt!!!!! You can't run your house hold like this. Some people in congress and financial experts all say that we should be prepared for some serious pain in the near future!! I think that members of Congress, both current and past members, should be in on some of the pain because they helped put us in this situation. Serious cut backs in all areas, except social Security and Medicare. I busted my ass for 50 years looking forward to my retirement and now that I'm here they want to make cuts to SS!!  Well, how about we cut back on welfare, seriously and effectively go after the fraudsters and eliminate them Grandpa Joe can put them to work at all of these jobs he das he "created". Cut out all these ridiculous Government grants to study useless stuff. Stop paying for "gender reassignment procedures" for convicted criminals. It's time to go old school hard ass on things in certain areas of our government, both local and nation wide. If people think that hey have it rough now, just wait to see what it will be like if things do not change!! People have had things far too good for far too long and think some really bad JuJu can't happen to them. Well, there is no one bigger than us out there, and no one to come to our rescue when it all hits the fan!!

Look if it's about the economy lets be fair. Everyone should pay their fair share in taxes to support the unfortunate government waste that takes place. We should, however, look at the many extremely expensive social programs that many grifters enjoy a free ride taking advantage of being on the dole. Those receiving food stamps, unemployment benefits, welfare assistance, Medicaid and survivors benefits should be carefully scrutinized and eligibility for new comers must meet tighter requirements. We all know people that have been taking advantage for years when they could still provide for themselves, or get by with less.  And why can't people work longer to say 70 or longer before receiving SS and Medicare? Science has extended our longevity why as a nation can't we take advantage of this?

It's a two sided coin, increase income through holding the rich to pay their fair share in taxes and reduce sloppy expenses in free ride handouts. If you run a business to survive you must be mindful of both ends otherwise you don't survive.

Dan, your statement about SS cuts...are you referring to the discussion being kicked around by some of the republicans, about raising the retirement age to 70, right?

Guess you Trumpist have to get old and die out. Oh. Soon. I guess. Great State of the Union last night. Two years of fabulous progress.  The Orange Con who lies about everything, who argues to abrogate the constitution because he lost the election fair and square, who sucks up to Fascists wherever. Well. Take him. He's yours. Guess when he's indicted, finally, for all his crimes, you'll march somewhere with your AR-15 lapel pins and firearms and get thrown in the clinker. Or do so in your bleak and horrifying fantasies.

I find it hard to imagine that you participate in the hobby of flying model airplanes. To quote my oldest granddaughter..."You're soooo mean!"   ;)

Mabey a few nights in the garden at the "Motel Hell" will get some people to realize what time it is.
If that is not enough....then into the tube and put em' on the counter next to the cash register....that will git em' to check their wrist watch.

Dennis Have you checked gas and food prices.  It's been a bad two years for me.  Of course according to you it's all Trumps fault.  This is of course true.  He didn't manage to get elected and Biden destroyed all of the good things Trump put in place.    HB~>

Here’s the real State of the Union: Over the past two years under Biden, millions and millions of illegal aliens from 160 different countries have stormed across our southern border.  Since Biden assumed office in January 2021, 4.2 million migrants have been apprehended by Border Patrol agents along the southern border, marking a record high.  The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reported 71,238 U.S. deaths from “synthetic opioids (primarily fentanyl)” alone in 2021, marking a major jump from 57,834 in 2020. Production of fentanyl typically starts in China, where precursor chemicals are manufactured, and then Mexican cartels synthesize the drugs before they are trafficked across the border, the New York Post has reported. Biden and the radical Democrats have wasted trillions of dollars and caused the worst inflation in half a century.  Real wages are down 21 months in a row, gas prices have soared and are now going much higher than even before, and the typical American family is paying $2,200 in increased energy and food costs each year.  Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show that real wages, including both average hourly earnings and average weekly earnings, have been down every month since March 2021. Biden and the progressive Democrat Party is trying to indoctrinate and mutilate our children, Biden is leading us to the brink of World War III, and on top of all of that, he’s the most corrupt President in American history, and it’s not even close.  Check out the now verified Hunter laptop, CRT in schools, Transgender indoctrination in our schools from Kindergarten to 12th grade and higher education.   Boys can now compete as girls in sports and enter girls and women's restrooms and lockerrooms if they identify as female.  The Mexican Cartels control our southern border from California to Texas.

Where does it end?

Norm

Nope, McCarthy says that's of the table. Democrats were talking about it also. They used to pull this same crap in years past, but now realize just how many of us there are on SS now and we all vote!! And don't forget it was the Democrats under Johnson that raided the SS fund and made it part of the general fund so they could give more of it away. It should be written in stone some where, if you do not pay in, you do not take out!!! It should be hands off across the board. The tax issue is another one of the smoke and mirror issues that is used to distract and misdirect attention saying the the rich don't pay their fair share. If you look into it the ones crying the loudest about are the ones taking the most advantage of the loopholes and such, including the blubbering, drooling idiot that we have residing in the White House. He and Jill publish "children's books" on the side, most likely as a money laundering scheme when no one wants to buy Hunter's sham paintings, and they have been caught in several compromising positions tax wise. They just have power over the press to cover it up. The same with Sanders and the fake Indian Princess who are both filthy rich since they have gotten into politics. And don't forget Nancy and Paul!!  She's been know to call a recess in congress because she had to make an important call right before they pass some legislation that benefits a stock move by here and her old man. They cry about corporate America, but guess who writes the tax code???? Congress!! Congress gets paid a pretty penny to put the loop holes in just where they are needed. And for the most part  they are Democrats.  Just follow the money like the old saying goes. I just hope the GOP has the balls to really stick the spurs in now that they have the chance and root some of this out, even if it means a few republican head have to roll. Term limits should be the FIRST priority along with strict rules about financial moves and dealing while sitting in Congress. Gut their pay and their benefits. Look into AOC's net worth and find out hw she went from a lowly bar tender to where she is no in just a few short years. People have been crying for years to see Trumps tax returns and now that they have been released attention turns elsewhere, and to paraphrase Grandpa Joe "Guess what!!??"  There is nothing to see!! Your tax situation is your business and
privileged information, Corporate taxes and the taxes of the people that own and run big business are far beyond the average persons understanding and that is THEIR business. By the IRS's own statistics, the upper "1%" that everyone screams about and corporate America pay the biggest bulk of the tax revenue it takes in each year. It's just more smoke and mirrors and misdirection. The thing about Trump is, people just don't like him and his personality. He's not a politician, and we all know people don't like politicians. Trump is a salesman, more or less like a used car salesman, and people like them less than they do politicians!!.But in my lifetime, I have seen used car sales people show more compassion to people when it is need than any politician I have ever witnessed. Trump didn't get into the cesspool for the money, he already had all the money he needs. Biden, Pelosi, Schumer, Schiff,  and all the rest are in it for the money. They al are far, far more wealthy than when they started, and it isn't from selling off the stationary that they steal, take home and sell on the side!! That is why the pass bills before they are ever read by anyone!! This is all basic high school civics class stuff , but it's obvious that they haven't taught that in schools since I was there!! The biggest thing that really rubs me the wrong way, is the way Grandpa Joe talks down to us all, like he knows better than us. When it came to our right to take or not take the Covid vaccine, it was "Our patience is wearing thin!!" When it comes to guns,  it was "You don't need anything more than a shot gun!" when the real meaning behind the 2nd amendment is that the founders saw the wisdom in having the people, the citizens, armed just as well as the government!! So yeah, give me an AR-15 and an F-15 to go!! When it comes to cars, he tells us to buy electric, not because it's in any way better than what we have now, it's because he and Jill are heavily invested in companies over seas that produce the components and he will profit from that handsomely!! Regarding "Motel Hell", all I had to do was look on You Tube, watch a minute or so of the trailer (link below) and know that it was a movie that 1) nobody should have made B) nobody should have watched, and iii) nobody should read the script!   H^^ Steve

Rather than tearing and fighting with each other over this issue, we can each apply an effective solution:

STOP BUYING SMIC!!!

SMIC= sh!t made in China

It is not always easy to determine if something is SMIC since Amazon and other companies hide the manufacturing sources of their products, but it can be done.  If every American concerned about the Chinese spy-balloon stopped buying SMIC the CCP would no longer have the funds to play their obnoxious games.

This and it's our own fault, we let this happen and only we can fix it, it won't be easy, no more $200.00 big screen tv's but if everyone did their part and stopped buying smic we could bring China down.

So,,, the Chinese figured if they put up a spy balloon at 60,000 feet, it would be so high that no one would notice.

Now, that's funny!

No, I think that they rightly judged that the current administration wouldn't do anything to stop it. Whatever happened was either inept, corrupt, or treasonous.  Maybe a mixture of all three.

What gets me is this thing was "leaked to the public" AFTER it had been discovered "over Montana?" So NORAD (or Space Force) never saw it approach our land mass? It couldn't have been taken out at 11 miles high while still just entering our Internationally recognized airspace? I doubt getting shot down 5 miles from the coast that it could drift over and onto our land mass as it came tumbling down. I dunno...maybe it's horizontal speed was 700 mph...maybe it could have drifted several miles laterally. I don't think we were told how far it drifted after being hit...and THAT would lend credence to why it wasn't eliminated earlier. Hmmm. I do believe it would have been a danger to anyone in the debris field if hit directly over US soil. But doing it AFTER it over-flew the country was just too late.

There is a squadron of F-22 Raptors at Elemendorf AFB Alaska and they are forward deployed to the west coast of Alaska. NORAD knew the ballon was entering US airspace and a F-22 could have dispatched it without danger to the public.

Not shooting it down is rank incompetence.
