Bob Hunt just finishing the first flight of round 3 with perhaps his best flight of the day.  Bill Rich now measuring it up from circle center-now cranking.  The signal and she's burning fuel.  Eric V. Let's her go.

Well that concludes the flying of the open finals.  I'll be back with placings as I know them.  Then I'll need to conclude this webcast and make for Kansas.  The Walker Cup and so forth will be availiable from other sources here.  Again I'll be back to inform you of your new Champ shortly and must say I've enjoyed this today and hope you did!

Oh my word!!!!  Doug did it?!!?!  Wow, new name on the Walker cup.  Nothing against any of the other flyers, they're all great flyers and great gentlemen, but new blood on there is always good for the event.  I think it encourages the rest of us to try harder.

Dave Trible, you deserve a medal of some kind for the reporting!!!  I think we should all give you a standing ovation!  (Doing so now, the wife thinks I've lost it.)

I am beside myself, Doug Moon has won the Nats OMG!!! This is just like F3A where the electrics dominate but the I.C.'s still punch through to the top LOL.

Dave your play by play reporting was fantastic.

Awesome play by play. Congrats to Doug Moon, the Jr and Sr winners.

I didn't see the Walker cup fly-off results although someone stated he won. (Maybe we just assume the open winner wins the cup?).

I look forward to learning who wins the concours.

Congratulations to Doug... Our guy from Dallas!

Doug will also be the new Pampa Disdrict VIII VP. I  had considered running, but when I heard that Doug wanted the job, I threw my support to him.  I have pledged to support and help him as much as possible. Doug is a perfect example of the mature, younger blood that we need.

Randy, this going to more and more like F3A where, 50 guys will be at a contest and 49 of them will be electric, and the one guy with his YS 175 Dingo blows them all away.

I cannot argue if Electric will completely take over CLPA, but slimers will still be around for a while.

Some people are like Aaron and I.  We have (3) PA .61, (2) PA .51, and (2) PA .40, and not counting the T&L ST G.51s, AT .36s, OS .40VFs, Saito .72, etc..  So to go out and turn completely electric will take more money than I will ever have.

Just my take on things......

Hello from Steve's Suburban on the way home from the Nats.
Thanks for all the kind words. All I can really say right now is WOW!
To say this week was a whirlwind would be an understatement.
I want to say thanks to those who helped along the way.
There is no way I could have pulled it off without the help of so many.
Thanks!
I am posting from my phone. Later when we get back I will write something up about the whole week.
