Anyone else notice the RC cars in the track and field events?

They use to have volunteers stand on the far end and catch the various pieces of sporting equipment. Didn't take long to run out of volunteers though.

My son Jake and I noticed the Mini Coopers zipping around the other night
and couldn't figure out what they were being used for. Now we know.
