Just wanted to make a quick comment. I got a chance to fly my new classic plane today with Randy Smith's PA .40 UL engine. While I already knew that it was a good engine, I was once again amazed at how well it works in a light airframe. I'm flying it in a Dave Gierke Novi. About 600 square inches and a bit under 47oz, the plane performs amazingly well. The site I fly at is pretty turbulent, but the PA just motors through. Really gives you a sense of confidence flying a brand new plane. I got in two complete patterns on the first two flights on the plane.
Didn't mean to sound like an Aeroproducts commercial, but if you are thinking about a classic plane of this size, there isn't a better choice for power.
