First piece cut today
« on: May 16, 2013, 03:10:44 PM »
Well today I am starting a new build. I have given some clues on how it will look. Not sure of what to call it. Crosswind, Crossbreed or something along that line. As I stated it will be a jet look. The wing is 11.125 root 8.375 tip. 61 inch span. 11.5 nose and a 17.5 tail. Beam wing swept back tips. It will not build as fast as the last one but it should not take long to do. 3 weeks top to get it on its wheels. I will post pictures as I get the parts cut today.

Actually, "Crossbreed" sounds (and looks) like a good name. y1

I got some more parts cut tonight. Almost enough to start gluing. Once I have the spar complete it will go together fast and I will post some pics. Not much yet to see just wood.

Well tomorrow after a trip the the local HS I will go full guns. I need to catch Dave. The stage is set, ribs are cut, fuse doubler's are glued and the spar is complete. I have wrapped the bell crank lead outs. Leading and trailing edges are cut,tip plates are ready. I will probably set the skins into molds first so when I start it will only take a day or two to have a complete airframe.

Robert,  if you are getting any FLYING done you are miles ahead of me.  This is getting frustrating!  Seven weeks, 5 1/2 days till the Walker Flyoff.
