More 1/2A Profile Scale
« on: October 09, 2009, 02:56:16 PM »
I finally "scored" a Big Mig .061 R/C engine last night on the Bay at a reasonable price. Now I have a pair so I can build a profile scale twin this winter. I don't have much current experience with 1/2A engines and would appreciate some basic model design parameters to shoot for regarding wing area and all up weight so I can draw up a suitable plan for a model that should fly well. Yes, I have a specific obscure aircraft in mind, but it will remain a secret until unveiled later (hint, initials are G.M.). Nothing wrong with a little suspense is there? Hopefully I can light a small fire under our club members this winter to get a new event going.
