Butyrate over acrylic lacquer?
« on: March 23, 2014, 07:33:59 PM »
Hey guys, I've been considering how I'm going to paint my next plane. In the past I've used automotive acrylics, and then hit them with an acrylic clear coat, which is ok provided i dont get raw fuel on it, but once it does, it softens extremely quickly.

I was thinking about an using a butyrate clear over the top, has anyone tried this?

I have done that several times over automotive colors with no bad results.
