Yahoo is failing my account
« on: November 24, 2014, 07:46:27 PM »
My e-mail has recently been hacked through no fault of mine.  I cleared it up the next day.  I have received no e-mail since Nov 12 in spite of having an account for more than 30 years with yahoo.  Tomorrow, I plan to go gmail at the same old alsf8f.

I think now that both yahoo and gmail both open on alsf8f

Hi Al....I have had a gmail account for five years now and have had no problems, so hopefully you will have the same experience.  Being hacked sucks big time. H^^

Al,
Sorry you were hacked.

You might want to invest in a program called Spy Hunter!  I've had it for a couple of years and it really puts the kabosh on anything like that.  It's a little bit of a pain because it takes longer to boot up initially after turning of the computer, but it stops anything that is harmful, and a full scan (which takes about 10 minutes and I do once a week) uncovers all bots etc. and isolates them to let you get rid of them with a click!  Really works well!  I also use McCaffey but it doesn't usually catch bots which are the most likely guys to hack your computer!  Most of them are fairly harmless and just slow things down a bit but some are very destructive.  Most of them are just commercial things that rape your computer and sent all your info to folks that want to sell you something...they don't want to destroy your computer...they want you to buy somenting!

Stops all pop-ups also!  Just Google for Spy Hunter.
