The easiest answer:  Measure 1/4 of the wing at the root from leading edge and hold the plane at this position. If it's level, fore and aft, it's OK to fly.  If it's "squirrly" flying level, then it's tail-heavy.  If it's hard to change direction on square loops, then it's nose-heavy. 

Hardly any plane flies perfectly balanced the first flight.  Adjust the CG until it gets where you like it.

With all due respect to Floyd, 2 1/2" (the root cord is 10") may be a bit tail heavy to start. I would start out at 1 1/2" to 1 3/4" from the leading edge and move it back until it flies like you want.

Just checked my S1, and it's about 1" from the LE.  It flys real nice..
