The title of the thread led me to think "another profile"

Wow it's a beautifully detailed airplane! That is as nice as it gets!

Who's design Mustang is it? Is it Al's?

You have done both Al Rabe and Ron Burns justice by holding up the banner for their excellence!

Again, ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!!

WOW. Now that's ink work. the subtle shading at panel lines is spectacular. Most shading at panel lines are done to heavy.

John,

Yours looks great!  I think this is the first Mustang III by Bill Rutherford, shot in 1969.
See you at VSC!

Hi John,

I was so taken by it, I forgot to ask...........

What did you use for the silver?  clear?

(and yes I think it looks AWESOME!  I am going to build one, and if it comes out even 50% as nice, I'll be thrilled!)

Thanks all for the kind words. It is an Al Rabe Mustang3. I used the laser cut ribs and fuselage formers. All the shells are molded. The finish is Brodak B-25 silver with PPG 2-part urethane top coat. All the markings are painted. It weighs 61 oz.

John - I KNOW that took some serious work! Great outcome for what must have been a monumental effort.
congrats on bringing that baby to reality.

Now, try to be kind when that typical non-C/L person walks up to you and says "Hey, thats cool, where can I buy one of those?" Heh heh...

Great job!
