New Guy to forum.
« on: December 27, 2006, 09:25:48 AM »
Hey all.

Excellent a group of CL groupies. I have been away from CL for 10 years. Been out plying the oceans in the US Navy. I have dabbled in 1/2A for ease of transport.

Now, that I am out of the USN. I am getting back into precision aerobatics. I am currently building a Strega from scratch. I have my old vector 40 and nobler, etc etc.

I am in N. Louisiana. I do not have a current Pampa or AMA license(being taken care of). So, I can not access member lists. I live in Bossier city, La. I am looking for flyers.
Any Help would be grateful

Thanks.

hey Rudderless. I know all the guys in Baton Rouge. I will fly with them soon. It is a 5 hour run one way. :(.

I was Aviation Electronics Tech. AT1.

I lived in Baton Rouge. I flew with Steve and charlie alot. They were both at the Houston contest I won in Intermediate back 6 years ago. Came home for leave and drove to Houston on 3 days practice lol.

I know them all Steve Millet, Charlie, Papa Bear, etc etc.

Hi GWH,

Glad to have you aboard!  Lots of USN guys here, so you won't feel lonely.  ;D

As to Ty's comments on meets these days, it's true for a whole lot of us.............. Our "Club" is over 2 hrs. away, and that's our closest meets (2).  One of the Marietta, GA (6 hr.) meets was dropped which was our second closest ones.  Next was JAX (6-7 hrs.), the rest are a day's ride or more.

Makes it hard to be competitive when you have to work for a living! **)
