New from RO-Jett Engines
« on: November 29, 2011, 10:12:17 AM »
With the retirement of Windy Urtnowski making and selling airplane parts and kits I have taken over the making of the tuned pipes that he made for us at RO-Jett.
To Date these are turning out really well and I have a dozen or so being used now with no breakdowns. I think I found a better epoxy than we were using at Windy's. Most pipe's are turning out around 34 to 36 grams.

I still have also the larger 67/76 size that I use on my personal engines but either pipe will work on all engines if set up right.

I also have contacted Brett Buck about putting together his set up and system of running what is known as the Buck Ro-Jett. This is the original 61 as I designed it.
What will be offered is the engine, header and pipe ready to use as prescribed by Brett. Cast Case( a little lighter) or Bar Stock engines. This is the 61 only- as the 67 and 76 are not suitable to Brett's numbers (pipe length, prop, venturi, etc.).
As usual all other products are available and built to order. We are currently about 4-5 weeks out on all orders.
Thanks,
Richard Oliver

That's great news Richard.  CLP** HH%%  o2oP. I will get with Dubb to order a BB pipe for my BB BS 61. I also noticed the Ro-Jett web site has been down for a few weeks. Will that be coming back? 8)

Hi Richard.
I have the .67 serial RE with header muffler. serial # 7095 .
I may be wrong, but is  the .67 not a slightly different engine (timing?) than the rest of the .40 to .76 series?
I though it was not suitable for a pipe setup.  From what you write, you use the .67 piped.
What is your experience with the .67 piped versus muffler?
If it is positive, i would really go for it.
Details on pipe size, prop. and ventury would belong on the engine setup page i assume.

Best regards
Norvald Olsvold

Hi Norvald,
The 67 is by far my favorite. It will run anyway you want. I run the 67 in my current Nat's plane with a pipe. I ran it at the TT with a muffler.
The web site is being worked on but I am not the one, so I do not know how to fix it. They told me today to give them (my server) 10 min. Yeah right!
Thanks,
RO

Is this going to be the 144 degree or 140 degree version? I had both and the same setup worked pretty well on either, but the 144 was better.

Rich just enquiring, can't you just bust out a little Microsoft Frontpage on your own, just to get things going?

Mr. Oliver.  I will be contacting you for a muffler for the RO-Jett 76 that is a more reasonable length.  And one with a 45 deg. "stinger" to get exhaust out the bottom.  No matter how I try, the muffler conflicts with the wing structure.  A shorter muffler would solve a lot of problems!

Hi Richard,

Which one did I get back in May,  The  BUCK BSE/R.O 61 with 140 or 144 timing?

Will this new offering come with the spigot venturi?

will that come with the piece of panty hose covering?

and what about the Eather green back?!       finished?   pre-pitched?

Rich, I want it all!
