Finally finished my electric legacy in the weekend and here it is - came in at 63 ounces with all the electrics, including the battery... looking forward to getting it in the air next weekend

Very nicely done, Wynn.   I like that the silver trim is somewhat subtle, rather than a contrasting BOLD color.  And it's clever how you made the transition in the silver pattern, blending from wing to fuselage.....neat.

Couple of questions:

1)  How did you make the narrow, black pin stripes around the edges of the silver?

2)  What were your finishing material?   Using electric opens up a lot of new opportunities in paint selection.

TIA

Cheers.

thanks guys
covering was doped tissue - two layers on main wing, one one the fuse and tailplane
Finish is all rattle can auto paint - all Dupli colour, used high build primer as first coat to fill, sanded 90% of it off, then colour coats

I used the "forward masking" technique to paint this - I painted the black trim lines first, then put the tape on and sprayed the white, masked over that then sprayed the red, I have a LOT to learn on painting - I think the next one will be a lot better.

I like it a lot. Very simple and effective paint scheme. I like subtle.
