IRKS Fun-Fly - April 19th

Really looking forward to the FunFly at IRKS, Cocoa, Fl this coming sunday!  Been doing alot of lonesome flying, and a bit of building since the last time I saw anyone else with a C/L plane.  I anticipate a fun filled day of flying, chatting and chowing!

Excellent!!!  How 'bout the Vector?  Will it be there too?  Thought I read something about a big trash bag and a mistake.  Maybe it wasnt you... :-)

I am planning to come over with another club member. I have been looking forward to hanging out and flying with you guys, should be fun. Now which airplan to bring?

Larry:

Donnie Thibault, Patrick Frangella and I will be there.  I am pretty sure the Weedman brothers and their nephews will be there also along with John Rewis and also two or three from our Jacksonville members.  The X47 Flyers should be well represented.

Hey Bill - Sounds like X47 is gonna make it a party!  Look forward to it!  Theres certainly plenty of room .... you could launch the space shuttle from this place.

Great! Looking forward to seeing all of you, it has been a while!
Stunt weather Gods have posted temp 65-83, winds SSE11.
Hamburgers, hot dogs, chips and soda will be the on-site nourishment.
RC club members will have a small pattern event Sunday for those who are interested. No space problems, they are at least 800' away.

Didnt you have this problem at Lake Wales last year? You ended up bringing ... what .... 12 airplanes?  I remember one of them .... it has like a 6 inch wingspan.  Shove that puppy in the glove box. ...  LL~  LL~

It took a long time to get this facility, especially the dedicated CL area.

Look forward to spending the day with you Roger!  Must be exciting to have your 1st Fly-In, eh?!  I'm an early riser and its about a 2 hour ride, so I'll be there no later than 8:30.  I believe my wife is going to come for the day too. She enjoys the events, but she just hopes other wives will be there .... me too, otherwise she'll hassle me all day. :-)

Couple of the RC guys at my field planned on going to the Pattern Event at IRKS ..... when I told them about the C/L event the same day, they were like all concerned about problems because of 2 different events. I told them not to worry cause this place is freakin' huge, and we'll need binoculars to see each other!  They were like ..... really .....   Hahaha!

Looking forward to flying with you again. H^^
We want all to know what we have for a facility as we are planning a "BIGGER Than Last Years" Veterans Day CL/RC Fun Fly in November. Last year, all profits were given to a local Disabled American Vet and we hope to double that amount this year, and once again donate profits to the Disabled American Vets.
Dont tell your wife now, but if she gets bored   mw~, there is some neat shopping in Viera, about 20 minutes down the road!
There has been lots of interest expressed, if all show up that have indicated they will, we will have a really great day!   AP^ AP^ AP^ AP^

I won't make it- I was sent on the road a week early. Hope you guys have great weather and no unplanned landings.

I will get that F-86 done and ready for the next one- if I have to I will schedule vacation for the Veterans Day fly-in.

On the positive side I will get to hang out with the Northwest Fireballs for their Spring contest.

Wishing you blue skies and light winds  this weekend- it is cloudy / drizzle, gray and cold here in Albuquerque N.M. I stop in Phoenix to change planes tomorrow so I will try and bring somme AZ sunshine up to Portland for our friends there.
