Hi Johnson Stuka
« on: June 03, 2013, 06:45:43 PM »
I will be bringing my old stuka to Brodaks along with Hi Aspect. Last time both where flown was 1999 at Brodaks with help of the wonderful Larry Scarrinzi.  Hopefully the plane will hold together for a couple more flights as it was built in 1960. I will be coming up Sunday nite and staying maybe till Thursday. If interested in seeing it fly let me know and will try to get together. This is the Stuka that was flown at the 61 nats Willow grove then hung in the rafters for years.

Thanks guys....nice, nice, nice! H^^

I have an old one that someone gave to me.  It looks like it was finished and flown.  It is now all stripped down to bare bones (not by me) and will be rehabilitated this winter.  What weight should this ship be?  I would like to put an La .46 on her.

My son built one about 20 years ago and did fly it at the Nat's. Remember he is
a  past OHG Nat's Champ and knows how to build light. His flew reeally well!!!
Shawns' weighed 39oz ready to go and used a Johnson .32s done by Tom Lay.
Build per the plans with a nice finish should weigh no more than 42-43ozs.

I remembetr that airplane and have pictures of it, and it was a VERY nice example of the design. Loved the paint on it. Was it at the NATS where he lost it, or was it at VSC? That was a real shame.
