Is there a trick to applying vinyl stencils? I tried to put one on the bottom of my wing for the lettering but it started wrinkling and tearing.
Thanks,
James

Slide it into place on a dilute solution of dishwashing detergent and water as you would a water-slide decal. Rub the vinyl with a Kleenex to squeeze the water out from under it. Eventually it will stick in place.

Position mask in place. Run a full length piece of masking tape along the bottem edge.
Fold the mask back using the masking tape as a hinge.
Peal the bottem backing off & smooth down the mask.
Remove upper backing & tape.
Paper off rest of plane.
