Putting these here for visualisation on interface , airframe , forces , atmosphere , wake . And theyre far out .  :)

Theres a bleedy great dagger keel And a few Ton of ' Tip Wt' under .

Otherwise we need pictures of F2B aeroplanes in clouds . so we can see the wake .

There are some wonderful applications of the wing sail to our flapped wings.

Darn Pesky Catameranges .  ;)

Idling along , V minor load factors , the keel boat wake is minscule ( a good one  S?P )

What with wind and wave , when things are tough , the continuation of the wake / disturbance ( airation / bubbles - sometimes . Big Bleedy Slick others , or side to side both )
is apparent for some time / distance .

Suggests the disruption in hard wind from ' our ships ' would be significantly greater than in calm air . Though its blown out away from our path . Just as Well .  VD~ :P

A goodyear or streamlined combat wing can start to ' nibble its wake ' ( Slipstream Itself  :-X) at around 90 mph on 60' lines in calm evening air , if its fairly cool / thick .

See the boats there can have TWO TON of ' Tip Weight ' down under them , there .A ' dagger ' keel , not a long one , the side loading giveina Flat Wake ,
dunno if you can pick it in one of the pictures . Was the insperation to post the picture . All sorts of loads in all sorts of directions & mediums . :-X

Anyone flown in fog where they can see the wash aft of the plane in the air ??

pitcher of KEELS ( and other bits ) all the leads in the bottom two or four feet . The Waters a bit thicker than air , but acts similarly . Partiicularly if we're supersonic .  :-\
Takes a bit to snap a mast . Similar function to out Wing apars supporting the aerodynamic surface . Bit of load in the ropes etc , Winches required in any wind .

Hulls running free for and aft , but a degree of yaw to counter ( air ) drag , or ' down wind wash ? ( The darn thing'd end up way down there without the keel )
Havnt refound the 4th picture . Comp. logged of whilst posting .  :(

Catamarran was a up yours to snots bending the rules , I thought. And not undeserved . Theyve turned the Amer. Cup. into a ' Dingy Race ' as it were .So Dual Hulls better for drama and excitement .
Thought at the time , 02 . that if theyed had a brain the legs would have been a few hours , right out along and across Auckland Harbour ( to show the place of to its best advantage .)

Out Around the ( little ) Barrier , down to Corramandle and back to Browns Is. ( Theres a few rocks going over that way , Tide varies threat .

I was living out pretty much at the Tip of that Arrow , at Whanaporoa , back then . Intresting Atmospheris with the land & water , seasons , tempertures & time of day . &traffic Pollution if clam . >:(

Actually , if they were real men & had real boats and wernt scared of a bit of wind and water , they couldve gone up around the Hen & Chickens Islands , which are further up .

Stories of freight ' mullities ' pre war  , to much sail up and continuing down a swell , underwater . permanently .
