spinners
« on: May 08, 2012, 09:01:15 PM »
Hey guys, hope all is well. I'd like to put a spinner on my McCoy 19 red head. I saw Mecoa has parts to do this. I'm not sure about thread size or exactly what I need. Do I need one with cut outs for the prop,or can I just get it with a flat bottom. I'm doing this so I can use an elec. starter as well as astedics.
I also want to put spinners on my cox .049 I see they have rubber as well as a metal set up. Will the rubber ones work ok with the elec. starter.
                                                      Thanx for any help

                                                              frank
PS I'm gonna post in classifides for the parts I NEED.

I cant help specifically with the spinner,, most any will do since crank threads are fairly standard within engine size ranges.

I will however STRONGLY reccomend that you resist using an electric starter on your red head McCoy. STRONGLY!!, it is a plain bushed engine, and I would suggest that an electric starter can cause the crank~ conrod interface will make unfriendly contact with the backplate with less than good results..
For years the rat race had me going around in circles, Now I do it for fun!
