#4 Covered tailfeathers
#5 Tips covered bottom wing
#6 Nice and tight LOL
#7 Bottom wing complete
#8 Ready for the monoplane races.

the shot with the top wing removed really gives a perspective on how much tail surface you have! What did the TVC come out on this design?

Total Wing Area --- 715 sq. in.

Tail Area --- 155.5 sq. in.

Tail/Wing Ratio --- .2175

Tail Volume Coefficient --- .629

Aspect Ratios
Top Wing --- 5.66
Bottom Wing --- 5.12

Bill, I gotta say it; if you put paint on that and cover the gorgeous wood work you oughtta be whupped! That workmanship is absolutelt the tops. Pleeassse finish it in clear.

All that is left is to cover the top of the top wing. Assembly of the components comes first as the top of all four struts are glued from the top. The final covering will be done this evening. I set a deadline of midnight tonight to get all this done and I'm gonna make it.

When epoxy on the struts is cured I will sheet the c/section and finish the covering. I will also set the Stab and rudder at that point. Then comes the hard part, finishing. So far so good.

Both wings are now epoxied in place at 0 degrees incidence. Stab/Elev. is next. Final assembly should be complete early this evening.

Looks absolutely GREAT! Some times I like 'em best before the color is added. Keep them pictures coming, I am anxious to see the graphics.

We are back from Houston and really it is a wonderful place to go to fly. The flyers there were, as usual, friendlier than ever. The highlight was winning the "Pilots Choice Award". The winds were 30 MPH gusting very badly so a decision was made not to fly the "Bipe" The picture below says it all.

Doc -- Didn't see this post of yours. The Bipe and the 1000 have taken a back seat to the HONEY DO JAR. I hope to get them both ready and flown before Brodaks Bash. I want to take them both there. Keep your fingers crossed for me and maybe the War Department will lighten up a little.

I love the part about the war department. Everytime it is a nice day to fly I can go but the Sargent always sets the garbage can and the broom in front of the back door. Ain't life grand.

They come in a range of sizes. LOL
These were both built by G-man. The little one has a 10 inch WS and a Cox .010TD I loaned him for power. I have one that is 140% of the .010 powered with a Cox .020 PeeWee.
