Power Jig Saw fix!

My Dremel Jig Saw has a huge hole where the blade goes through. This is fine for changing blades, but lousy for cutting small parts.
Sooooo, I made a removable top plate, and end of problem!

My jigsaw is a Delta. It has an insert around the blade that is removed to change blades. But the hole for the blade in it was quite large. I replaced in with an aluminum unit that has a much smaller pass for the blade and does make cutting small parts much easier.
Same idea, but different execution due to different jigsaw design.
Yours is a clever idea.

Mine is a Craftsman, and when I cut Mother Of Pearl for inlay work it tends to want to break the stuff, I'll build one of these and life will be MUCH better - thanks for the tip!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
