“Big (Black ) Tiger”

I am pleased to announce a new kit of an old design, simplified, and updated for 2024.  Seventy-two years ago, Bob Elliott designed the Black Tiger and won the 1953 NATS with it.  Watching him fly in 1958    (I was 10 years old) was what inspired me to learn to fly stunt.
Recently Bob’s son David contacted me about cutting a couple of Black Tiger kits.  In discussion, we also decided to do a profile replica for David, his brother, and his grandson to get back into flying.

This replica is the “Big Tiger”.  It is sized for a .35 to.46 engine such as a LA.40 or Brodak.40.  Span is 52”.  Similar to my other kits, it has a sheeted foam wing (airfoil from the Sig Banshee). Fuselage/tail are a direct 15% enlargement of the original in side view, AND enlarged vinyl “stick-on” decals are included, with the famous “shark mouth and beady eye”.

Soon, we expect to have a you tube video on Stunt Hangar telling the Black Tiger story and showing the original Black Tiger and the Big Tiger.
