Lots of guys have used the TLAR method and get good results. Stretching the nose and tail will change the characteristics and many use that to cater to their own likes/dislikes.
It is especially done to counter the original's balance problems. Simply leaving everything as is and moving the wing position forward or back will much of same thing, basically. The Sig Banshee comes to mind in that scenario.
Adding 2" to the Flight Streak tail is a number that sticks in my head, and a bit can then be added to the nose to help with fuel tank fitment. Nose heavy tales less lead to correct than tail heavy, so keep that in mind! LOL!!
Don't know if the Hanger 9 needs any improvement in the c/l orientation of the engine/wing/stab.
