vintage safety
« on: March 12, 2007, 08:01:23 PM »
This is not directed at one person but all who plan to fly vintage speed. safety is a major concern. some posts have went like this, great vintage speed going to pull my old speed job off the wall and enter. i recomend you read the ama rule book first befor you drive any amount of distance your old plane is more than likely no up to current safety rules.i know you have heard me say this before but the future of our hobby depends on us flying safely. SAFETY FIRST NEVER LAST LIVE A FUTURE NOT A PAST. y1

Safety in vintage speed is obviously a concern of NASS

Will there be inspections of questionable (or all) vintage models?

I think it's an idea that should be considered if it hasn't already been.....one big accident at the NATS could mean the end for CL Speed and checking out the entries isn't a huge hassle

Inspection will be done at registration.  Billy will be looking over our shoulder making sure every thing is on the up and up.
