I had a plane that was recently given to me that looks very identical to this one. The only real difference is mine has a bellcrank installed. I decided to rebuild it due to a crack which is pretty bad between the two mounts going directly to the front of the leading edge of the wing. I tried putting epoxy in it, but the plane is old and oil soaked. My plane is without tank. After several attempts of a prior model with a Tee Dee, I came to the conclusion that a store bought tank doesn't work. I've tried Perfect tanks over and over without any luck. It was brought to my attention that the tank needs to be thin and the pickup tube in line with the venturi. The majority of tanks would place the pickup way on the outboard side which would create a lean run situation when the head pressure lessens. I replumbed one of them with a uniflow pipe which solved the crazy run situation on that particular tank. I was wondering if its possible for you to post a picture of the underside of this planes wing showing the tank. I'm going to make the tank for mine and I'm not sure what configuration to make it. I always felt that this should be a simple thing as these planes were not doing any maneuvers and therefore really shouldn't have any issues. I just about lost all interest in these planes with my first attempt due to the tanks not working correctly. Once the uniflow tank started to work I quickly regained interest and felt that I made some real progress. There is a lot of lessons to be learned here and I'm just getting there. Ken
