Success at last
« on: May 01, 2011, 10:19:10 AM »
I built this plane last year but it had a very unsuccessful history. My son and pilot Shawn made an attempt at flying this at Palisades park in new Jersey last fall when the plane wrecked on its 3rd flight. Lessons to be learned unfortunately. With the help of Fred Quedenfeld Jr yesterday we made several successful launches. Weather was nice and it was just a lot of excitement for my son and I to see this work. The engine is a K&B rear rotor .40 on a Harter pan. The top was built by my son and I and the help of several Philly Flier members. Here is a picture of my son prior to take off. Ken Cook
