I have the perky plans scanned.  i'll send them to anyone who asks.  i also have the rules.  print the plans and go to your favorite copy shop and have them enlarged to the 18" wingspan.

Hi Bill (and others),

Great idea, I hope it all works out.

As someone else mentioned, I do have plans and will send a copy anywhere for $5 (covers copying and postage) folded in an envelope.

I had a short article published in John Brodaks new magazine.  I have so far gotten over a dozen inqueries since the magazine came out a couple of weeks ago.

cheers, Graham in Embrun near Ottawa Canada

Hi Tom,

Please forward the Perky information to:  dyna.soar@verizon.net    I'm particularly interested in minipipe use.

Will send the Forum a photo of my present Perky, which has flown powered by Cox Olympic .15, Torpedo .15 and Cox Thimble Drome .15, out of the race car.

Am setting up an old CS AAC, and need to decide on revised timing.

Will

Check out these awards for the 2007 Perky OTS Championships. Awards for high speed 1st-3rd and an award for the Average Speed. Cool huh? So come on out and have some fun flying a Perky Speed model. All event entry fees benefit the 2008 USA FAI F2A Speed Team.

Do you also offer engines, gas tanks, drop-in control systems, and lazer ribs, or at least a corehouse foam wing?

i do not offer anything but the plans.  i can send you a few photos of the tank i made and the plane.  you can use any .15 engine.  i can send the rules if you need them.  if you have never scratch buily an airplane you might need help from someone in your area that can get you over the rough spots.  the airplane as designed in the 1940's used a .19 ignition engine.  these old plans were not long on details as all modelers built their models in their own ways.

i do not own or work at a hobby shop.   th cd's i offer are the scanned articled from the old magazines.

OK, I'll just trace the plane & make some templates,,,,

I might even find some old (pre- Czecho) F2d junk under the bench...

My lucky day, I hit on an old Monarch crutch and scored a Megow Spitfire wing at the Cloudbusters's auction.

I don't have any 2" x 4" x 18" balsa logs, so I'll just sort of fiddle around with some formers and keel, plank it like a Viking ship.

i did not run the lead outs thru the wing.  and yes i planked the fuse and covered it with moneykote.  you do fly in the pylon. 2 years ago i ran a silver swallow diesel and last year a fox 15.  the diesel was faster but not a barn burner. both were under 70 mph.  this year i have a fise nelson.  i hope to get into the 70's mph.

The snow is melting, it's too sunny outside, I'm building like a madman.

I encountered a few serious roadblocks, but they were resolved by some consultation with the F1c & F4b guys at the Cloudbusters' meeting.

Those are NOT pickeral fillets being converted jerky.  They are the top & bottom shells with chartruce silk covering, getting a dose of UV curing.  The 1/8" square planking has been sanded to translucent thickness in places.

Yes, it's going to have outdoor leadouts.

I don't know much about gas tanks, so I just soldered up a little box that fits to space available.

Plenty of Sky Blue & Sunflower Yellow paint left over from the Ukrainain festival, so I might as well use it.

Black Hawk Models is currently working over the plans to see if we can produce a kit for the Perky.
