Joey,  when you called me yesterday saying you set a new speed record of 205 mph, I repeated those words to my flying buddies at Fentress.  They spontaneously applauded - it made me so proud of you.  I am also proud that you asked Lenny's wife if it was okay for you to break the record.  That showed a lot of class.  Love, Dad

When I read the title of this thread, I thought it must have been Joey.

first let me say thank you to everyone, dad you raised me that way and i that you for instilling some of the things it takes to be a man. next willis we still have not ran that head you spoke of it will be intresting to see how it will do in 2010 when we go to the new fuel mix. next i will say that there is more there just have to have the right conditions lenny said we should be able to hit between 210 and 212 so we have two contest left to geter done. once again it was not all me on this record lenny did up the head jim redid the planes and john redid the dollies and jb helped us with the spark plug whitch made jimmys job much easier. #^ #^

thanks jim, i do think flying the fast stuff was made easier by flying for you guys when i was just a youngin  i was very lucky to have a dad that could fly monoline and his friends all had speed ships that would let the kid fly, got in a bunch of pratice even riped a few pylons out of the ground.  :P

The old jet record of 205 MPH  did not last long, it was set by Joey Mathison @205MPH but there is a new jet speed record of 206.81 MPH and that was set yesterday by Joey Mathison.
