IN DEVELOPEMENT AT BHM
« on: January 23, 2008, 06:54:38 AM »
We have been looking for a companion model for our Perky kit and I think that we just found it, Carl Goldberg's 1945 "Zing". It is a sleek, carved body, speedster with sheet wings. There a few problems that we need to work out but nothing that can not be overcome.
We need to lower the motor mounts to fit a modern .15 to .25 engine in. Then there is the dihedral in the wings, I am not sure what to do about that yet (your chance to chime in). One other change we will need to make is the attaching of the landing gear, he mounted it to the bottom of the wing, I may move it up to a bulkhead.
As a companion model I would kind of hope to see them raced too.  D>K

We are also working on a modified Whirl-A-Way.......that should be fun!
