Joey,

Do you know the name of this great flying C speed ship with a McCOY 60 in it? if you said TOP CAT you would be wright.

boy does that bring back memories. that was back when you and willis and john were learning what head shims would do when you took out a few. hindsite being what it is that motor had a great p/l fit and should have been stuffed into one of them tiger cases that mini-pipe lugs it would have been even faster. that was when 10 flat was a good run.

I have a brand new McCoy 60 set up by Franny's Chrome Service with all the tricks and always wanted to build the Top Cat for it. Maybe one day soon. I love the dark & light wood layers Telford's had.

something about the mahogany and bass wood finished in clear just seems right. fast plane fast car and zz top  just a good ol way of saying i ain't in need of nuttin else.

Well that brings back old times for me to, I'm not sure but it looks like Jim Nightengale's or Jean Stiles they flew in WAM speed in the early 50's I use to fly speed also but then I was only 16....Woop's only one thing wrong I forgot they had Alum. wings  HB~> HB~>

One of the neatest wood finished speed planes I ever saw was Mary Lou Brown's Proto. Tiger .29 I suppose but the mahogany spar was just too cool and it ran like a scallded dog. I believe that was at 70 Glenview. Got a picture someplace and keep saying I have to scan them someday.
