Scale Nats
« on: August 07, 2007, 05:14:07 AM »
It was a hot and wet weekend for the 2007 NATs. Sat morning started with 37 airplanes flying on two circles. Sat morning started out with no wind to speak of, but hot and humid, around the end of the first round it started to rain with thunder and lightning warnings so the second round was interuptred several times, and it took until around four before the second round was finished. Sunday morning started out cooler, but the humidity was very high, and there was a good breeze blowing at the beginning of the third round, but had died down by the fourth round. I will post the standings and some pictures as soon as I can get the pictures out of the camera.
I would like to thank the judges who suffered through the sauna on Friday to do the static judging on Friday, and then sat out in the weather on Sat and Sunday to judge our flying. It was three very long days for them.
