Scale 3 view request...
« on: June 14, 2010, 09:53:18 PM »
 Howdy,

Does anyone have an accurate scale three view line drawing of the Mitsubishi Zero they could post here? I just need some quality reference for the outlines on my current profile Stunt project.

 Thanks!

 Wayne

Your supply of info seems to be infinite Keith. Thanks again! y1

BTW, I've heard of Superscale before, these do look really good. Where can they be found?

Wayne,

The Superscale drawings were available as early as the early-mid 60's.  They were done in 3/4" = 1' scale.  Each airplane was done on two plates like that shown for the zero above.  I found a source on 8" x 11" sheets that I was able to copy.  These were prepared under the auspices of Leroy Webber, who is/was a great scale enthusiast.  Their listing included the Zero, P-38L (probably the most exhaustive drawings of the P-38 you will ever find), P-47D, AT-6C,
Bf 109G-2, Spitfire Mk 1, and the Douglas A-26C.

At the time, all this Lieutenant could afford was a set of the 3/4" drawings of the Messerschmitt, and I have since not really tried to get any other of the full size drawings, though I have seen reference to them from time-to-time.

Keith and Wayne,

The SUPERSCALE drawings are available from Wind Canyon Books - http://www.windcanyonbooks.com/books.php?pid=19&cat=1 .  Unfortunately the price is just as outstanding as the drawings, making collecting them an expensive proposition.  But if you need just one for a project, they are well worth it.
