I have just found my new engine for scale. I use to run the .91 Saito 4 stroke glow, but not any more (at least for my new ships).I now have the gas 4 stroke, Saito FG-14B in my Ryan 200 special. The glow .91 burnt 10-12ozs. for a 8-9 min. run. The gas 4 stroke burnt 2.5 ozs. for a run duration of 17 1/2 min. rpm range for break-in was 3,000 to 8,500. While not broke in yet, I got it to idle at 2,000 rpm. This engine does have to have a little more room up front. It has it's own on-board battery, and the mag. box. but what scale ship can't use a little weight up front? AND, it sounds way-cool too. Can't wait to test fly it.
Blessings
