I take it that it will be flown under standard AMA rules for 526 CL Fun Scale.  How many rounds do you hope to get in?  what is the interance fee?  Sounds like a fun day.   :)!

Not sure how much the entry fee is, send Kevin an E-maili (see flyer) and he should be able to answer that.

For fun scale you get three attempts to make two official fliigihts. Read the rules on the ama web site, I think fun scale rules refer back to sport scale rules. Bottom line you have 10 items per flight

takeoff
10 level laps
optiion 1
optiion 2
option 3
option 4
option 5
optioin 6
Realism ??? - check AMA web site rules
landiinig

Look thru the sport scale rules to pick the options, you have a lot to pick from

It's a long drive from Alabama but I will try and attend.  Sounds like a fun contest.  #^

At the nationals last Summer Most flight plans were as follows:
1. Takeoff
2  10 Airborne laps
3  High Flight  (3 laps above 30 Degrees)
4  Touch &
5  Go
6  Missed Approach
7  Taxi
8  Throttle
9  Landing
10 Realism in flight.

My Extra 300S had smoke that I used in place of Missed Approach.  In profile scale I did see ships with no throttle that did loops, wing overs inverted flight in place of touch & go, taxi, throttle.  However they lost realism of flight points because helper could not release plane and have it sit, on its own.  Sounds easy but for the most part scale ships have high wing loading and are a hand full to fly smoothly and scale like.  The problem is that we judge speed by how long it takes an object to travel it length.  Because our models are small they look like they are going to fast.  As we try and slow them down they get unruly.
