1st Place - Janek Zalewski - Spitfire and/or Bf-109
2nd Place - Keith Morgan - Bristol Beaufighter
3rd - Paul Smith - Ole Tigre
The rules permit you to enter two or more planes and use the best for your score. It was like "sport scale", about 50/50 static and flying points.
Janek's fighters were both nicely done, but powered by AME .049's that weren't performing that well. I'm not sure which got the better score.
Keith's Beaufighter was powered by a pair of vintage OK Cubs, so getting it running at all was something of a miracle. Unfortunately, he was unable to keep both running long enough to score the multi-engine bonus, so an otherwise sure win slipped into second place.
My Ole Tigre was buit in 1974 as a 1/2A Goodyear and winter beauty contest entry. Powered by a healthy Black Widow it flew well, but not well enough to overcome the beating it took in Static points.
Finally, here's a pitcher of Kim Doherty and Chris Brownhill firing up and old WenMac P-39 Aircobra. Not an entry, just an exhibition.
