OS 25FX
« on: July 18, 2010, 07:10:08 AM »
I have just noticed that the OS 25FX is marked up on Tower's web site as available late September 2010.  It has also been moved into the current engines list on the OS web site in Japan and the US, (moved from the discontinued lists).  Does this mean the engine has gone back into production, or just a mistake on the Tower and OS web sites.  Bloody good news if they have put it back into production #^, does anyone have some inside news they can add to this ??? ??

Hi Doc

Yes I have contacted them by email (Tower) just today, and also followed up with an email to OS in Japan.  I'll let you know what the reply is.  Tower are very good to deal with as you say and always reply to my emails. I assume I will not get a reply until Monday.

On RCU it has been reported that OS is indeed re issuing the 25FX. Of course it will be at a higher price. It was also mentioned that Magnum has introduced a new 25 that exceeds the performance levels of the OS25 and is at a more favorable selling price. Magnum has been steadily upgrading the quality and diversity of their offerings and are now turning out some worthwhile engine. Although they still havent made a stunt friendly engine.

I am aware of the Magnum 25 XLS, it appears to look and run just like an OS FX and would have stimulated OS's ire somewhat, and could have precipitated OS to reintroduce the 25FX.  The 25XLS is still very rare and not in stock either.

Dear Mr. Smith,

Thank you for a mail both in English and in Japanese concerning the re-introduction of the 25FX.

Yes, we have decided to re-introduce the 25FX because we have received many strong requests worldwide.  Mainly they are from Quikie Pylon and combat.  Which category are you from?

I believe the 25FX will be available again in September in Australia.

Best regards

Koichi Hirai
