This is my new super slow rat, ready to be test flown. Brodak 25, APC 8x6 prop, internal line connections, internal pushrod. Klass Kote epoxy paint, Fibafilm (Micafilm) on the wings, glass cloth and epoxy on the wood. 25.5 oz.
Looks fast and great. Is there a set of plans available. Doc, I have enough info for you to build one, but no formal plans. Except for the built-up wing instead of a foam wing, it is the same basic airplane as the yellow and blue one Mike Greb has.
I like it, all the angles seem to match. What does it weight?MM
Look closely young grasshopper, the answer you seek is contained within.
The inboard side of the fuselage is slotted for the pushrod and control horn, and inletted for a 1/32" ply plate to cover everything up after the wing is glue into the fuse. Since it was a straight shot, I was able to use a simple music wire pushrod.
Won its first race (out of a field of 6) with a 5:23!
