I like it, all the angles seem to match. What does it weight?

Looks fast and great.   Is there a set of plans available.

Doc, I have enough info for you to build one, but no formal plans. Except for the built-up wing instead of a foam wing, it is the same basic airplane as the yellow and blue one Mike Greb has.

How do you get the fuselage on over the pushrod, is there a panel you install after the wing joint is made?

The inboard side of the fuselage is slotted for the pushrod and control horn, and inletted for a 1/32" ply plate to cover everything up after the wing is glued into the fuse. Since it was a straight shot, I was able to use a simple music wire pushrod.

iMO the slot in the fuse COULD be covered with a thin CF strip, duplicate on the not slotted side and you'd have a "PITMAN CATCH WHIP PROOF" aft fuselage!!!!

The fuselage has 2 full length 3/16" x1/2" spruce stiffeners. This has served me well. (Having said that, this one will probably break!)

For tank details, see my post called "new SSR nearing completion" on page 2 of the racing forum. The tank is about 1.1 oz. The maximum size allowed is 2 oz. You are not allowed to use shutoffs in this event except in an emergency, so your tank needs to be the right size. My post details how to "get two different size tanks for the price of one". We use this short-tanking ability all the time with good results. I have included some info on a super simple shutoff for sportsman Goodyear that can also be installed on a SSR. I have never needed to shut off to save a plane in this event, but have tripped the shutoff accidentally before. For that reason, there isn't a shutoff on my new airplane.

Ah 16.66%, do you find it grooves better with the tail up high or is that done just for the internal push rod. How much off set in the stab?

The stab is above the center line to keep the tips from dragging the ground. What do you mean by "offset"?

Mounted above the thrust line also gets it out of the downwash from the wing, makes the stab/elevator more effective.

1 1/8" from bottom of stab to thrust line.
