Bolt in an OS 25 .
Brother had his 3rd recent flight after 40 years layoff , from a hand launch , yesterday .
Muffler on it , 7 x 8 Tornado , roughly Diesel ( 85 mph ) slow pace , straight off . 10% Nitro stunt fuel .
OS 20 & 25 fit eta holes , as does the FSR , FP 20 / 25 etc .
A 20-23 will nail in the G-15 holes .
Likely notta bad idea for getting a few practise hours in , without tearing up your race motor .
And Proves a novice mug can hangf on without dramas , solo at least . Dual Elevators ,
rather than the single ' trim tab ' many use , Better for kicking the speed off for quicker
deceleration at stops , too .
YES , still a way to go with the finish , blue stripes or Red , looks like I have to fork out for some blue paint .
Rustoleum White undercoat & undercoat / paint on it , will wash'n rub back , epoxie a few knicks & dings ,
then break out the masking tape . Fuel Tanks dubious , a cut out's ' on order .
Looks like I'll throw in a ' wobbly leg ' monowheel box , U.C. should be part of the build anayisis , but prevaricated & pressed on .
#*! thing flys at least , and Not To Bad . Two Others underway . Fuse Reinforcers and U.C. for them under consideration .
Thinking just glassing the Ginny Fuse should be enough , The flash open shoestring might get a carbon yacht sail batten down
the thrust line . Or Maybe I should do another with it , so Ive Got TWO Shoestrings , the rest to do & theyll be finished .
Sig Kits for beginers , its best just about stock , with a cut off maybe and epoxy impregnated tissue . 10 hour or less , Build Time , that way - your not forever pontificateing over meticulous details of hi fangled etceras .
Did it a few coats of dope on wood , H' Wt tissue , maybe stuck on with thinners Then / Or Warmed Aryldite scrubbed in , and spread with a plastic card ? spreader . Paper kitchen Towels used to sponge excess ( Wot Excess )
Needs another thin coat really . Original 76 Ginny was Aryldite / Tissue , Elasticity let it flex without cracking up , and kept the insides inside .
21M is off geting a bit of carving done , should be good to go , in the Cotes Shoestring soon . 25 FSR for a hack / practise engine . Nest thingll be Glass or C.F. props .
' Slow Goodyear at least KEEPS THE COSTS DOWN .
