Refurbished my 20 year old mouse racer. Might even go fly it.

I flew it at the Chicopee nats, whenever that was (2000?). It has bass fuselage, ply tail, and balsa wing with spruce LE. All fiberglassed with K&B superpoxy finish. 18"span 45 sq. in. length is 17" from the nose cone. Pictured here with Golden Bee not the race engine. Theory was, a longer fuselage would let it very fly stable and go faster. It worked but my engine sagged a bit in the last stint and Paul won by about 12 sec and set a new national record. Not bad for something I wasn't too serious about as I was there to fly speed events.

Just a reminder, it's been all Muncie since 1996. Paul's record was set in 1999.

Here's what I was using for 2nd class mouse. It would be a class 2 Goodyear if it had 2 wheels. I believe it's a Falcon GY. It's big and slow for mouse but it flys really nice. Still have the CS engine I ran on suction. I'm sure Paul broke his own record a couple of times, hey does anybody still fly these things?

It was the Chicopee Nats that Walt is referring to.  My previous record (2:18) was set the year before in Lawrenceville. ;)
