This from Lance Smith in Australia:
"Hi John
Just letting you know the Australian Team of Rob Fizgerald/Murray Wilson
now hold the (World) open heat record for Classic B team race with a time of
2:59.87 (70 laps on 60' lines) established at the Australian Nationals,
using a race modified Brodak B25 . From memory the previous record was held
by John Hallowell/Keith Baddock at 3:04.
Before the Nationals during practice Brodak powered B's were getting very
close to breaking the 3 minute barrier for the heats on a regular basis so
it was only a matter of time, now we have to get the 6 minute barrier for
the 140 lap finals !
Kindest regards
Lance Smith
