Typhoon 40 Profile Stunter

This airplane is based on the Typhoon Stunter flown by Chris Rud at the 2015 NATS. It is 85% the size of the original airplane. It has an improved wing chord as recommended by Chris Rud and used in his latest stunters. The wing has more chord than a scaled version of the original. The airplane has a 52 1/4” span and 522 square inches of wing area. The airplane is designed for .40 to .46 size engines. The laser cut kit comes with full size CAD plans that have full size templates of all parts. The kit does not include any control system hardware. If you would like a smaller profile version of a top NATS airplane then this one is for you. The first kits will sell for $200.00 plus shipping.

at 522 inches isnt that more of a 25 sized airplane? I owuld expect more around 600 inches for a 40,, jus tmy two cents worth,, but it does look like a nice profile though

Mark,
Considering that the full size Typhoon stunter has 717 square inches and flies with a .61 or .65 engine I think this one is good for a .35 to .40 . I would guess some people would put an OS 46 on this airplane. A guy can mount any engine they wish to use. I would probably use one of my old (1966) Enya 35s.
Thanks, Pat
