RINGMASTER X-WING
« on: October 05, 2013, 06:00:05 PM »
The Ringmaster X-Wing is a 60 size biplane that is not a traditional biplane. The airplane has a 49.65” wingspan and 936 square inches of wing area. It has adjustable leadouts, a weight box, and a cutout through the fuselage for a 5 oz. tank. The airplane has a cowl cheek on the mounted to the inside of the circle. The airplane has a “V” tail. The kits will be laser cut with 3 sheets of CAD plans. The plans show all parts full size. The kits will not have any control system hardware.

Mark,
The airplane hasn't been built yet. The cutting files are not done. There are or have been full size racing biplanes with this wing configuration. There should be no bad flight characteristics. The airplane is not intended to be a precision aerobatic airplane. I am confident it will be good for inside and outside loops, wingovers, inverted flight, and figure eights. I wouldn't expect it to be an airplane for square or triangular maneuvers.
Sorry to be so long getting back to you, I was out of the country.

Thanks,  Pat
