Ringmaster Bipe 45
« on: October 19, 2015, 09:38:44 AM »
Do you have a .45 or .50 without a home? Unless you have something against ”Motherhood and Apple Pie”, you have to like Ringmasters. Do you like Biplanes? Here is a Biplane for your .45 to .50. It has a 42 top wing and 629 square inches of wing area. The airfoil is based on a NACA 0018. There is no planking in the center of the top side of the top wing or the bottom side of the bottom wing. This airplane is easy to transport and a nice way to get into flying larger multi-wing airplanes. The kits do not include the bellcrank, the pushrod, or the elevator horn. The first kits will sell for $144.00 with shipping included in the CONUS. Two wings, open cockpit, no round engine, but you can’t have everything.

I completed my Ringmaster Bipe 45 this weekend and made a first flight. I want to report it flies as Pat King predicted and will stunt well. It has an OS LA 46 on it with a 11 x 4.5 Thunder Tiger prop. 3.5 oz tank weighing in at 48.05 oz. I covered the wings using MonoKote and Rust-Oleum on the fuse and tail sealed with KBS Diamond clear. If you like Bipes this is a fun project and good flyer.
