What is the best way to store Trim Stripe tape ???
« on: July 27, 2009, 12:38:13 PM »
Once open these things can be a big headache especially when you only use small amount on small models.
Please share your ideas and pictures could come in handy too!

I was thinking I might use something like a bulk CD case.

Robert, I just keep mine in plastic sandwich bags. It keeps the dust from collecting on it and from drying out.

Thank you Randy!
Of course that was the first thing I thought of but When I thought it, it just seemed like there was something better way. after more thought about the CD and how I would need to make a spacer because the hole diameters are different, Stacking them one on top of another, having to dig down to get the right size... far too complex all around.

Just put a piece of the tape on the front to see the color and the size.  :!

Why does it make more sense when you say it? :)

The only problem I see is air can still get to it in a CD case, but if you use it fast enough it wouldn't matter.

Trim striping tape that looks good may not stick very well.  Even "new" tapes that have been at the LHS too long have the problem.  I don't know the answer.  Maybe just dumb luck will get you some good tapes.  Toss the rest!
