Twister in Primer
« on: May 24, 2009, 07:24:42 PM »
Hello Members

This is what i been working on for the last three months.  This is my first Twister build and only my second
control line plane build.  Right now i am in the priming and fill stages.  I think i am on my 500th piece of
sandpaper HB~> HB~> HB~>
So far the weight is 32oz.  Some of the plane is of the Ted Fancher design and the rest is from this site and
myself.  I put all my other kits on the shelf and built this plane to be my trainer.  Im taking my time and
trying to learn how to do a nice paint job.  I will send more pics soon.   Bryan

Bryan,  the plane looks great.  But, as an old timer told me when I was so much younger, "Learn how to fly, then learn how to finish".  He always stated to build straight and light.  DOC Holliday

Thanks Everyone - That means alot ;D

I know i am going a little to far on a beginner project.  But i can't help myself on trying to learn
how to do those fantastic paint jobs you guy's do.

Leester , I will be using Auto Air Colors (waterbase) Paint with Kustom Shop 2k Super Flo
Polyurethane Clear.  Thought i would try it.  They have so many cool colors and it is half
the cost as regular urethane basecoat paints.  If they don't work then i will use Brodak Dope
which i already have ordered last week.

Here is one more pic till i can get some more painting done.

Bryan,

With AutoAir Colors, just make sure you get it dry. It can take awhile and sometimes need a hair dryer.
