Guy's when you are covering wooden parts ( rudder, stab) and such how do you cover the leading edges?
Do you roll the paper over the edde from each side, or do you cover the edges seperately ??
If you roll the paper over the edge how do you keep from sanding it away as you start the finishing process??

Just roll it over, dope it down and trim it with a swipe of sand paper after it's dry. Put at least 3 or 4 coats of dope on before doing any aditional sanding.

I call it 'edging' -- I put an additional 2-3 coats of dope just on the edges before I put on the silkspan , rolling it over the edge & when dry gently sand down the edge perpendicular to flat surface, hit with a little dope on the edge again to seal that paper down & proceed to the other side & do it all agian.

It helps if you tear the edges rather than just cutting them with scissors. The edges disappear much better.

Or cut the edges with a sanding block and sandpaper rather that a knife or scissors. Makes it easier to blend.  8)
