Sandman Abrasives?
« on: February 23, 2012, 08:50:10 AM »
Several years ago I picked up a set of foam backed abrasives at the Toledo Show put out by Sandman Abrasives.  I fell in love immediately!  They were far superior to all the major manufacturers I had been using.  (At least for hardwood, which is where I was using them.)
I can send a guitar through the 2000 with them and really wouldn't need a finish if it weren't for "body grease"!  They worked especially well on the edges and corners because they didn't tend to sand through as easily as others' products yet cut faster than most.  They worked much better than my old standard 3M black wet or dry for those areas.
I HAVE WORN THEM OUT!  I have tried to find Sandman Abrasives on the net, but I get a website that refers me to another website that refers me to another website that.......
Can anyone help me find these?  Thanks for trying!

Well, we tried, looks like it's back to good old 3M.  Thanks for the effort, Randy!  I appreciate it.

Will,

You might take a look at Klingspor paper. The stuff is pretty good.

The foam pads look promising, Randy - thanks!  I'll give them a try.
