Paint remover
« on: February 22, 2009, 11:43:21 AM »
Looking for recommendations for a paint remover that wont damage balsa. Model painted with rustoleum, looked good until accidentally shot with lacquer clear, now its a mess. i started to sand but cant remove over open bays, with out sanding through. I remember a post listing a product that gave good results but cant find it. Maybe lost in the melt down.  Thanks John

John,

I stripped my Cobra using Jasco stripper that I picked up at the local home depot. I got the 5 minute stuff. No problems with the balsa, though it softened things up to the point that I could peel the silkspan off like a wet paper towel.
