 Got it. But what was actually on the plane that you got from Tom? Clear and sterate, Brodak sanding sealer, or?

When you say "FILLER" if you really mean clear dope. Yes thats how I do it. I put 3 coats of clear down, light sand and then paper on top of the clear applied with thinned dope.  #^

Not sure I understand how this saves time.  How many coats and sandings had Tom done when you got the plane from him.  When you add those to the coats and sandings you will do after the paper application, it all seems about the same..

Ty,

When my dad bought Hans Pearson's original Pegasus, it had been built and covered with the exact method you describe.  So, I guess that way of doing the finish isn't so new since that was July 1955.  The plane was built in 1954.
If you want to see a picture of a pegasus, look in West Coast Model News during the late 50's up to the mid 60's
The co-designer Bob Raffel won just about every WAM contest he entered.

Thanks for the input Ty but being the stubborn fool I am I'm going to give it a try but just on the flaps stabs and elev. the fuse will be done with .5 glass.
