Well, I've been trying to track down a color number for a 2010 car. I usually go to the local auto paint place and have them mix up colors without urethane binder. Just the toners then I can go home, add clear (butyrate lacquer) and, bam, instant dope. But it seems anytime it's a new color; 2010 or (God forbid) 2011, the auto companies don't really want you to know. I asked by paint guy and he says that he won't have access to the next mixing charts (and he's talking 2010 colors) until, maybe mid-January.

So, looks like I'll have to wait on the paint color I wanted.

Wynn, that works for the factory paint code, but that doesnt give you the mix combonations.
Randy, Somebody isnt doing his homework, Like I mentioned, get me the factory paint code, or the name of the color, and I can MOST likely get the formula for the toners,,

 Actually, you shouldn't even need the code, that will be harder for you to find. Check an auto dealership brochure or whatever you need to get the proper, exact, name of the color, and then most reputable paint vendors should be able to look it up. Good chance it'll be found in a PPG list.

It's so cool I can call someone that has people. 

If nothing else, hopefully we can come up with a single stage color that is close.

Or, I'll just fall back and regroup. I have a backup paint scheme in mind, but seeing the particular color just gave me a great idea for an overall scheme. We'll see.

The color I want is, well, unique. Should give a cool, low rider look. Very 60s

Well, since I have now moved on to a different idea (an so won't be spoiling the surprise), the color I was looking for was 2001 Ford Yellow Blaze Metallic. It's a tri-color paint and so, would be too heavy in the end. Just have to wait until they come out with a single stage color. Probably next year.

Cool color though. Sort of a really bright gold-yellow metallic. Would have been great on a low rider.
